An exciting final day of action, having multiple national and meet records, at the 2025 Federation Athletics Championships took place in Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerala, on Thursday.
There were 13 finals on the day, including some of the big events like women's long jump, men's triple jump, and men's and women's 200 metres.
The Olympians, Annu Rani and Tajinderpal Singh Toor, had a disappointing day in their respective categories, whereas Tejaswin Shankar booked his ticket for the Asian Championships in men's decathlon.
As it happened:
On one hand, Shaili Singh broke the 23-year-old meet record of Anju Bobby George (6.64m) to clinch the gold medal at the competition.
Whereas Ancy Sojan marginally edged past Moumita Mondal to clinch the silver medal.

Gold - Shaili Singh - 6.64m
Silver - Ancy Sojan - 6.46m
Bronze - Moumita Mondal - 6.45m
Note: Asian Qualifying mark (6.41m)
Annu didn't have a good outing at Fed Cup as she could not breach the Asian Qualifying mark of 58m. However, she had that at the previous competitions this year.

Silver - Karishma Sanil - 52.73m
Bronze - Ramyashree Jain - 51.17m
Tejaswin Shankar collected a total of 7603 points to won the gold medal
Shaili jumped 6.64m while Ancy touched the exact qualifying mark of 6.41m.

Animesh clocked the timing of 20.40s to rewrite the men's national record of 20.52s, held by Amlan Borgohain.
He also breached the Asian qualifying mark of 20.53s.
