India has two competitors in the final: Sachin Yadav, Yashvir Singh. Sachin will be aiming for a podium finish alongside the qualification for the World Championships with a mark of 85.50m.

His competitors will be Paris Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan, and the two Sri Lankan Javelin throwers, Sumedha Mudiyanselage and Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage.
