India's Balraj Panwar, after all that drama about event switch, is through to the medal final in men's singles sculls.
He clocks 6:52.84 to finish third in Heat 2 and advance to the final!
Rowing, Men's Singles Sculls: Olympian Balraj Panwar to get India's campaign started
The delayed rowing action, thanks to the typhoon warning in Japan, is set to get underway today. Starting off India's campaign will be 2024 Paris Olympian Balraj Panwar.
Panwar will be in action in men's singles sculls after the events switch controversy, which broke out two days ago. He was earlier slated to compete in quadruple sculls.
The rowers had first threatened to pull out from the Asian Games after the last-minute switch, but they have decided to compete. Read full story here.
