Asian Games Badminton: Satwik-Chirag reaches final; Prannoy wins bronze - Highlights

Men's singles star HS Prannoy settled for a historic bronze medal, while the men's doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty cruised to the final of the Asian Games badminton on Friday at the BJ Gymnasium, Hangzhou.

Chirag is absolutely brilliant. He rattles Soh and Chia with smashes after smashes and wins the game 21-12 and the match in straight games. Satwik and Chirag make a lightwork of Chia and Soh.
Final result: Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty beats Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik 21-17, 21-12 in 45 minutes
They trail 12-20 now in the second game. The Indians still have eight match points.
Satwik and Chirag are just brilliant today. Their defence is superb and their communication is great. The Malsyains trail is 10-20 now.
Soh falls on his back. Satwik goes for an angled return. A chance wasted. The shuttle goes long. Chirag challenges it but it is unsuccessful.
Chia and Soh trail 9-17.
It is an unforced error from Chia and Soh now. The Indians lead 18-9 and now 19-9.
Another point for Chia and Soh as Satwik ruffles the net. The Indians still lead 16-8.
But Satwik and Chirag follow it up with two smashes to take a 17-8 lead.
The Malsyains win two-point in a row. A mash by Soh and then a flick by Chia. They now trail 7-16.
Chia's angled return goes wide after a few quick exchanges and Satwik-Chirag leads 14-5.
The Indians now lead 15-5.
It lands in. Satwik has no chance.
Chirag charges at the net to win the next point. Soh's return falls flat. The Indians lead 13-5.
Brilliant defending by Soh. But it is not enough for the Malaysians to win the rally. Their effort goes long and Satwik-Chirag leads 12-4.
Meanwhile, Chia receives a yellow card. They now trail 4-11 after Chirag's return goes wide.
