India forced a decider as Sreeja Akula handed Jian Zeng her second defeat of the day in a 4-game (6-11, 11-3, 11-7, 11-4) matchup in reverse singles.
Sreeja had a poor start, losing the first game, but this time she bounced back strongly and won the next three games to keep her team's hopes alive in this tie.
Now, Yashaswini Ghorpade will be in action in the decider against Ming Loy, and the result of this match will decide the tie's fate.

India faces its second consecutive defeat as Diya Chitale loses (7-11, 4-11, 11-7, 5-11) to another lower-ranked Zhao Yun Tan in four games.
After conceding the first two games, Diya tried to come back and bag one game in her pocket, but then once again Tan answered back and clinched the match.
Singapore now have a 2-1 lead in the tie, and their highest-ranked player, Jian Zeng, will return for the reverse singles against Sreeja Akula, which will be the must-win game for India to keep the tie alive.
Swimming, Men's 100m Backstroke final: Watch out for Rishabh Das!
Rishabh Das is the only Indian swimmer to advance to the final on the opening day. Rishabh qualified as the fifth fastest and will be swimming in Lane 2.

India No. 1 Sreeja Akula lost to world-ranked 124 Ming Loy in a hard-fought five games, (8-11, 1-14, 9-11, 11-4, 6-11) in the second match of the tie.
Sreeja came back twice to level the score by winning a couple of games dominantly, but couldn't find that final finish and lost the match.
With this, the tie score levelled at 1-1, as earlier Yashaswini had won her match. Diya Chitale will come next in the third singles, taking on Zhao Yun Tan.
Cricket: Women's Team Semi-final: India confirms medal with a win over Bangladesh
India registered a massive 114-run victory over Bangladesh in the semi-final to confirm a medal and set up a title clash with Sri Lanka.
Chasing a mammoth total of 196, Bangladesh lost some crucial wickets in the first three overs and then could never put up a fight, getting bowled out for 81 runs in 15.4 overs.
Nandni sharma and Deepti Sharma took three wickets each, while Sree Charani bagged two. Shreyanka Patil and Kranti Goud also got one wicket each.
The defending champions will return for the gold medal match on Tuesday at 10:30 AM IST.
