After an impressive show at the group stage, the Indian men's team prevailed 3-2 over Kazakhstan on Sunday in its Round of 16 match. The women's team, however, lost to Thailand 2-3.

Indian men's team beats Kazakhstan 3-2 after Sharath Kamal wins the deciding fifth match 3-2 against Aidos Kenzhigulov. With this win, the Indian men's team reaches the quarterfinals.

The Indian men's team will face South Korea in the quarterfinals at 4:00 PM IST today.

Sharath Kamal loses to Gerassimenko Kirill 8-11, 11-9, 6-11, 8-11.

Sharath Kamal makes a terrific comeback. He loses the first two games against Aidos Kenzhigulov but wins the last three in the deciding fifth match to help the Indian men's team prevail over Kazakhstan in their Round of 16 tie.
