Boxing, Women's 65kg: Parveen WINSSS!

There she goes into the final! What a storyyyyy!

Parveen had bagged a bronze in Hangzhou three years back. But she was stripped off the medal after testing positive in a dope test.

She returned to competitive action last year and has steadily climbed. Now here she is. In the Asian Games boxing final. REDEMPTION!

Parveen wins 5-0 via an unanimous decision!

Boxing, Women's 65kg: Parveen wins Round 2

A very similar script follows in the second round. Parveen just happy to bide her time and not go on the attack. But as soon as the Chinese pugilists comes in, the Indian lands punches on the counter.

Shu seems to have done better than in the first round, but that the judges don't feel so.

Parveen takes Round 2 unanimously!

Boxing, Women's 65kg: Parveen wins Round 1

The opening round of the women's 65kg bout between Parveen Hooda and Li Shu draws to a close.

Parveen starts off carefully and relies mostly on counter-punches in those 3 minutes. I feel she has done enough. But has she?

Yup, but only on a 3-2 split.
