Asian Games 2026 LIVE: We have reached the beginning of the end of the 2026 Asian Games campaign.
Tuesday will mark the final day of athletics action, India's most successful sport at the continental games. In action at the track and field would be the likes of Pooja Singh, Avinash Sable, and men's 4x400m relay team, hoping to win the nation's first gold medal.
At the same time, all the six Indian boxers, who have assured medals, will also be in action in their respective semi-finals.
There'll also be action across sports like sailing, surfing, kurash, cycling, and more.
LIVE updates:
Niraj Chauhan looked lost there for a few minutes, but he has managed to turn the fortunes around. Having lost the first two sets and trailing 0-4, Chauhan wins the next three to win the match against Indonesia's Salsabilla Riau Ega Agata 6-0.
He'll need to figure what went wrong in those two sets pretty soon. The Round of 16 awaits in less than 30 minutes.
Dhiraj Bommadevara, who had set the Games record in men's recurve qualification a few days ago, makes a comfortable start to his individual campaign.
He takes down Garcia Girivin Cullen Nigel of Philippines 6-0 in the Round of 32.
So, no off-field, out-of-the-blue surfing medal for India either at the 2026 Asian Games. Kishore Kumar Anbarasu, the final Indian surfer left standing, is knocked out in the quarter-finals.
Kishore scores a total of 5.37, much lower than what he had in the early stages of the competition. And he is duly blown away from Philippines' Espejon Toby, who scores 8.53.
Kishore scored 3.00 in the first wave and 2.00 in his second.
