Boxing, Men's +90kg: NARENDER WINS BRONZE
There's the inevitable.
Narender was barely interested in attacking early on in the third quarter. A minute in, he finally starts to launch.
A few clean punches landed before he goes back into the shell. Aibek retaliates with a combination of punches.
With just over 50s left in the bout, the referee hands Narender Berwal a standing count warning as well.
The writing is on the wall. He will go back from the 2026 Asian Games with a bronze medal.
Narender loses by a 0-5 unanimous decision. An unfortunate end to his campaign.
Boxing, Men's +90kg: Narender loses second round 0-5
Narender unwilling to take the initiative and attack despite that massive 0-5 decision against him in the first round.
He is still relying on the counter and I doubt he is doing himself any good by doing so. The Indian is trying to hide behind his guard and launch punches, but Aibek isn't having any of it.
That's round 2 lost unanimously as well for Narender. He needs to come out swinging in the final round to stand even the minutest of chances.
