Indian ace archers had an outstanding outing at stage three of the Indoor World Series 2024-2025 as four archers made it to the Taipei Archery Open medal matches in Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

Jyothi Surekha Vennam has confirmed her place in the final of the women's compound category.

Alongside her, Prathamesh Fuge, Atul Verma, and Ankita Bhakat will also fight for the bronze medal in their respective categories.

Back-to-back Final for Jyothi

Jyothi started the competition on a high note as she topped the qualification round with a score of 592 to earn the first seed for the elimination rounds.

She continued this momentum in the elimination rounds to clinch four consecutive victories and confirmed her place in the final of the second successive Indoor World Series Stage (IWS).

She clinched the title at the second stage of the IWS in Luxembourg last month and will be aiming to add one more title when she faces Chen Yu-ju of Chinese Taipei in the final tomorrow.

In the men's compound, Prathamesh Fuge will be fighting for the bronze medal as he conceded a heavy (145-149) defeat in the semi-final. Meanwhile, last month's runners-up, Abhishek Verma exited in the quarterfinal.

Prathamesh will take on Kim Jongho of South Korea in the bronze medal match tomorrow.

Ankita, Atul to fight for a bronze medal in recurve

Atul Verma and Ankita Bhakat will also fight for the bronze medal in the men's and women's recurve categories tomorrow. Both the archers showed brilliant performance throughout but just missed the finals on shoot-offs.

Atul will be up against a South Korean archer, Lee Seungshin in the bronze medal match while Ankita will also take on an archer from South Korea, Lee Yunji, in her bronze medal match.
