World Champion Vladimir Kramnik training 6 Indian chess superstars

In a move to further give an impetus to India's chess culture, former world champion and Grand Master Vladimir Kramnik has started to train six talented Indian youngsters in a camp at Chens-Sur-Leman, France. The young chess players who are a part of this camp are D Gukesh, R Praggnanandhaa, P Iniyan and Arjun Erigasi, all Grand Masters and Raunak Sadhwani and Leon Mendonca. The players in the camp are all between the age of 12 and 16. It is the first of four sessions and is sponsored by the Chennai-based company Microsense Private Limited. The idea of the camp is to enable promising youngsters to get trained by a renowned player and a former world champion. The camp has been set up to create more world champions and more in the top-10. P. Iniyan, India's 61st Grand Master (Source:AICF) Erode-based Iniyan, who became India's 61st Grand Master, is excited about being part of the camp. He was quoted by PTI, "This is probably the first time a former world champion is coaching Indian players. I am looking forward to the training by Kramnik." His immediate priority would be to increase his Elo rating to 2600 and hopes the stint with the legend would help sharpen his game.
