After an astounding win against the defending champions Trailblazers on Monday, the Supernovas led by Harmanpreet Kaur take on Velocity today. Led by Deepthi Sharma for the first time, the Velocity would be hoping to get their campaign off to a good start after a disappointing stint in the previous edition.
A win today for the Supernovas will send them to their fourth straight final of Women's T20 Challenge, while a win for Velocity here will keep the tournament in balance.

Harmanpreet brings in Deandra Dottin for a wicket and she obliges. A fuller delivery from the West Indian, Yastika moves across in a bid to play it to the leg side but she misses it completely. Leg stump disturbed.

End of powerplay!
End of the powerplay and Velocity have plundered 60 in 6 overs. This is now the highest powerplay score in Women's T20 Challenge history, going past Supernovas' 58/1 yesterday.
Shafali Verma has scored 47 out of that 60.

Shafali gets a reprieve!
Shafali Verma is looking dangerous in the middle and now she gets a life. Deandra Dottin of all has put down a sitter at point as Velocity thank their stars.
Verma was looking to go over covers off Ecclestone, it takes the edge and goes towards point where the West Indian shells it.

Shafali on the charge!
Shafali Verma is on song at the MCA Stadium in Pune. She takes on Pooja Vastrakar and gets two clean boundaries and has raced to 27 off 15.

Velocity take on Meghana!
A boundary for Yastika Bhatia, two for Shafali Verma as the Velocity batters lay into Meghana Singh and smash her for 15 runs in her first over. Brilliant calculated batting from the two youngsters.

Vastrakar gets Chantam!
Pooja Vastrakar comes in and she strikes right away. Lures Chantam into a drive, the Thai takes the bait and tries to go boom. The ball moves slightly, takes the edge and goes to the first slip where Harmanpreet Kaur takes a good catch.

Eventful first over!
Shafali gets a boundary by driving Ecclestone down the ground. A leg bye and a quick single follow. There was a tough stumping chance missed as well. Quite an eventful start to the chase.

Right then, the fielders are making their way out to the middle. Shafali and Chantam with the bat for Velocity, Ecclestone with the ball for Supernovas.

Suné Luus hits a final delivery and the Supernovas put up a dishy 150 to chase!
And the Supernovas finish their innings in style as Luus strikes a four and takes the score to 150 - a decent number on the board to defend now!
Velocity was extremely good with their bowling here and now the Supernovas will do their best to defend this score!
