A stunning all-round show from Deepti Sharma goes in vain as New Zealand, led from the front by Lauren Down, registers the second highest successful chase in women's ODI history to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.
The Indian women started brilliantly with a 100-run stand between openers Shafali Varma and S Meghana. A mini collapse followed after which a calm half century from Deepti Sharma helped them post 279 on the board.
They women in blue started well in the chase as well, with Jhulan Goswami striking early thrice. But, Indian one again rain into a red-hot Amelia Kerr, before Down took the White Ferns over the line with vital contributions from Katey Martin and Frances Mackay.
Brief Scores:
India - 279/10 - Deepti Sharma (69*), S Meghana (61), Rosemary Mair (2/43), Hannah Rowe (2/52)
New Zealand - 280/7 - Amelia Kerr (67), Lauren Down (64*), Jhulan Goswami (3/47), Sneh Rana (1/53)

250 up for India, but there have been no boundaries in the last two overs. With Bhatia back in the pavilion, Deepti Sharma needs to be on strike for as long as possible from here.

Frances Mackay, WHAT A STAR!
She might not have got a wicket with the ball, but she has done it in the field. Much like Harmanpreet Kaur, Taniya Bhatia is sent back via a run-out off her own bowling by Mackay.
This is the last thing India wanted.

Sensible batting from Deepti Sharma
This is very sensible from Deepti Sharma. She gets a boundary for the third over in a row before switching to singles. But, she needs to hang in there for India.

IND - 238/6 (42)
Once again a boundary off the first ball from Deepti Sharma, before things go cold for India. The southpaw survived a stumping there and would be hoping to stay out in the middle till the end now.

A boundary to start off the over from Deepti Sharma, but Rosemary Mair does well to keep things in check. Taniya Bhatia struggling to get off strike at the moment - she is just stuck at one end.

10 overs left in the tank, how much can India score from here? Can Deepti Sharma and Taniya Bhatia guide them to 270?

IND - 220/6 (38)
A decent over from Amelia Kerr, but an even wonderful sweep from Deepti Sharma to cap it off. India touches the 220 mark, but the real question is if they can bat out 50 overs?
Deepti Sharma, the key here for India.

Sneh Rana, OUT!
She gets one more boundary does Sneh Rana, but has to walk back now. Tries to loft one down the leg side but fails to get it from the middle of the bat, Hannah Rowe at square leg back tracks a bit and holds on to it. Wonderful catch.

A much-needed boundary for Sneh Rana and India via a paddle sweep and she takes India past 200. Lot of work left to do for India.
