The Indian women's cricket team beat Bangladesh by 8 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series on Tuesday.
Batting first on a turning track, the Indian team managed only 95 runs from their quota of 20 overs with Shafali Verma scoring 19 runs. During the chase, the Indian skipper resorted to using spinners, and led by Deepti Sharma, the bowlers knocked out Bangladesh for 87 runs.

India tightens the screw with one more wicket.
After the blitz in the first over, Bangladesh failed to capitalize as they lose another wicket, with Harmanpreet Kaur taking a one-handed stunner to dismiss Shathi Rani.
The duo of Minnu and Deepti has kept it tight by just giving 7 runs in three overs.

Bangladesh started well before Minnu puts the brakes.
Bangladesh scored 10 runs in the first over of Pooja Vastrakar to start on a good note but Minnu Mani bowled brilliantly in the second over taking the wicket of Shamima Sultana and conceding no run.

India couldn't reach the three-digit score at the end of 20 overs. 11 runs and a wicket for Marufa Akter in the last over takes India to 95/8. An outing to forget for the women in blue. It's all up to the Indian bowlers to carve out a victory for India.

OUT! Harleen Deol finally succumbs to the pressure and throws away her wicket. It was almost like catching practice for Rabeya Khatun at short mid-wicket. Sultana once again at the epicenter of it all. Deol departs for 6(21).

Some tight fielding from Bangladesh is added pressure for the women in blue. It is up to Rodrigues and Deol to anchor the innings and take India to a respectable total.

It is Yastika Bhatia who has to head back now. Fahima Khatun takes the wicket as Shorna Akter takes a blinder at long-on to remove Bhatia. As the young guns Bhatia and Rodrigues were looking to stabilise the innings, a pivotal wicket for Bangladesh. Bhatia gone for 11(13). India in a troublesome position.
