DreamBig Events is proud to launch the first – ever UTR tournament in India called DB Challenger – UTR Tennis Series. The series will be held in Tier 1 cities in India. The first leg kicks off on July 5 – 7, 2019 at the Ahmedabad Racquet Academy. The event aims to provide young tennis players play level – based competitions and at the same time get rated on the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR). The UTR is the world’s only results – based rating system in tennis and provides an accurate measurement of a player’s level – from a newbie to Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams. By getting a UTR, tennis players get a higher chance of being recruited by top U.S. College coaches, who use the rating for their roster. Rian Pandole, a Columbia University varsity tennis player, is currently the top Indian player in college with a UTR rating of 13.23. Pandole also joined DreamBig camps and tournaments. The registration fee is USD $60 for the three-day tournament. Top performers from the Boys and Girls Divisions will get a direct entry to the DreamBig Silver and Gold Series Tennis Camps, also happening this year. The Silver Series Camp is a four-day event which includes a two – day UTR tournament and a two-day camp with top U.S. Scholarship colleges. The Gold Series Camp also has the same format and gives the players a chance to be scouted by the top U.S. Academic Colleges. DreamBig organizer Tushar (ex-professional tennis player) says, “The Tournament series aims to help Indian junior tennis players to get rated on UTR and boost the number of junior tennis players going to play U.S college tennis from India!” This tournament is organized by DreamBig Events, which is a premier sports events company known for organizing exclusive sports camps and tours across Asia and in the U.S, such as the College Discovery Golf and Tennis U.S. Tours and the U.S. College Tennis Showcase camps held in Manila, Singapore, and New Delhi.
