Tokyo Olympics: Swimming LIVE Day 3, July 26 - Sajan Prakash in action - Updates, Score, Results, Blog
Sajan Prakash will compete in 200m butterfly while Milak, Ledecky, Titmus, Ohashi and Hosszu are all in action.
Welcome to the Evening Session of Swimming on Day 3 at the Tokyo Olympics!
The Tokyo Aquatics Centre will be witnessing 4 events in total and all of them are heats. Sajan Prakash, India's first swimmer to secure direct qualification to the Olympics, will compete in the 200m butterfly heats.
The events are as follows:
1. Women's 200m Freestyle Heats
2. Men's 200m Butterfly Heats
3. Women's 200m Individual Medley Heats
4. Women's 1500m Freestyle Heats
The Ledecky-Titmus rivalry will resume in the 200m freestyle while Kristof Milak is expected to dominate the field in the 200m butterfly. Katinka Hosszu will look to win one last 200m individual medley while Ledecky is the favourite in the newly-introduced 1500m freestyle.

Daiya Seto looked to make amends after getting knocked out in the 400m Individual Medley but only managed 4th in his heat.

Sajan Prakash only manages 1:57.22 in the 200m butterfly, almost a second slower than the National Record he set in June to qualify directly for the Tokyo Olympics.

Titmus is unstoppable!
Ariarne Titmus starts slow but changes gears with ease and clinches the Heat win with 1:55.88.

WR holder Federica Pellegrini finishes 5th in Heat 3
The legendary Federica Pellegrini looked a bit rusty and finished 5th with 1:57.33 in Heat 3.
She will need to do better than that to win a medal here.

Defending champion Ledecky wins Heat 2
Ledecky wins Heat 2 comfortably in 1:55.28.
Now, she will wait for Titmus to qualify and set up the titanic clash in the eventual final.
