Mumbai City FC has renewed its partnership with the Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL) for another season, extending a collaboration that brings football and esports together.
The renewed association will see ISGL continue to be integrated into Mumbai City FC’s matchday and digital ecosystem during the 2026-27 season. The partnership will include branding and visibility across relevant club platforms, alongside content-led initiatives and fan engagement activities.
The collaboration builds on the two organisations’ association from the previous season, when ISGL served as Mumbai City FC’s Official Back of Shirt Partner. The partnership marked an effort to connect the club’s football audience with India’s growing esports ecosystem.
As part of the renewed arrangement, Mumbai City FC and ISGL will explore initiatives designed to bring football and gaming closer together, with a particular focus on younger and digitally engaged audiences.
Bimal Parekh, Co-Owner of Mumbai City FC, said the partnership had provided an opportunity to explore the growing connection between football, gaming and the next generation of sports fans.
“Over years, our partnership with ISGL has given us an opportunity to explore the growing connection between football, gaming and the next generation of sports fans. We are pleased to continue this association and build on what we have created together,” Parekh said.
ISGL Founder Santanu Basu said the partnership would also support talent identification and the growth of Indian esports. He highlighted Saransh, who represented Mumbai City FC in ISGL 2026 before going on to represent India at the Esports World Cup in Paris.
The renewed partnership comes as the 2026-27 Indian Super League enters its new club-led commercial era. Mumbai City FC are among the 13 teams set to compete in the league, which begins on October 10 and returns to a full home-and-away format.
For Mumbai City FC, the continued association with ISGL adds an esports and gaming component to its wider fan-engagement strategy, while giving ISGL another platform to connect its competitive gaming ecosystem with an established football audience.
