The Indian Super League (ISL) will return with a title sponsor for the 2026-27 season after three years, with JSW MG Motor India joining the competition as its title partner.

The league will be known as the MG Indian Super League for the upcoming season, which begins on October 10.

The partnership comes as the ISL enters a new club-led commercial era, with participating clubs taking greater control over the league's commercial operations. The 2026-27 season will also mark the return of a full home-and-away format, with clubs playing across venues in India.

Karan Yadav, CEO of the Indian Super League, said the return of a title sponsor was an important milestone for the competition.

“The return of a title sponsor after three seasons is a significant milestone and a strong reflection of the belief and opportunity around Indian football.”

Yadav added that the league was entering a new phase, with ambitions to develop a more commercially sustainable, fan-focused competition.

For JSW MG Motor India, the partnership extends the company's existing association with football in India and internationally.

Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, said football had been an important part of MG's presence in the country, pointing to its association with Liverpool FC and initiatives supporting young footballers, including its work with the Patan Girls.

The partnership brings a title sponsor back to the ISL after the league went without one for the previous three seasons.

The upcoming campaign will therefore combine a new commercial structure with the return of home-and-away fixtures and a new title identity, as the ISL begins its 2026-27 season on October 10.
