Conscient Sports appoints Abhishek Goel as CEO to strengthen grassroots operations

Conscient Sports has appointed Abhishek Goel as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as the grassroots sports organisation looks to strengthen its operations and build on its work in the sector.

Goel brings more than 23 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business transformation and value creation. He spent over a decade at McKinsey & Company, where he served as a Senior Expert in Strategy & Corporate Finance.

Before joining McKinsey, Goel worked with PwC, EY, Grant Thornton and Citibank. His experience includes strategy, financial advisory, valuations, mergers and acquisitions, and credit risk management.

At Conscient Sports, Goel will focus on strengthening the organisation’s platform, improving its systems and processes, and building capabilities in line with its mid-to-long-term strategy. Conscient Sports has been active in grassroots sports for more than 15 years, having been established in 2010. The organisation has trained more than 50,000 young people through its cricket and football programmes.

It also has partnerships with the Real Madrid Foundation and Delhi Capitals, with its programmes focused on structured cricket and football training, international exposure and long-term athlete development.

Conscient Sports is the sports vertical of the Conscient Group, which has more than 50 years of experience in real estate. The group has completed over 20,000 units and has a portfolio spanning 35 million sq ft across completed, under-construction and pipeline projects.

With Goel taking charge as CEO, Conscient Sports will focus on strengthening its existing systems and capabilities while continuing its work in grassroots cricket and football.
