Pawan Singh re-elected on ISSF Judges committee, will be first Indian on Tokyo Olympics jury
The joint secretary of National Rifle Association of India, Pawan Singh, has been re-elected as the member of the Judges committee of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF).
In a virtually-conducted election, Singh accounted for more than 75% of the votes to be elected for his second term as a part of the seven-member committee.
Singh was the only Indian to be elected in this committee and will also become the first Indian to be a part of the jury at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
“I am grateful to the international shooting community, especially the members of the administrative council of ISSF for having the faith in me and acknowledging my sincere efforts taken in the last term,” Singh said.
The Judges committee of the ISSF is responsible for the uniform application of the shooting rules, provides guidelines for international judges, prepares and conducts courses for judges and jury members, approves application for a judge’s license and proposes juries to the executive committee for championships and games.
