Paralympics 2024 Para-Shooting: Nihal Singh, Rudransh Khandelwal bows out in Qualification- Highlights

Paralympics Shooting Highlights: After Avani Lekhara's fifth-place finish at the women's 50m air rifle 3 positions on Tuesday, we're back with the live coverage of para-shooting.
Nihal Singh and Rudransh Khandelwal were in action in the mixed 50m pistol SH1 qualifications and failed to qualify further.
The final of the event is also scheduled for Wednesday itself.

Series 6 ( Shots 56th to 60th): Nihal at 19th, Rudransh at 22nd
Seems like Rudransh has completely lost his track, and hits three 7s on a trot, and hits a 10 on his penultimate shot of the competition.
Rudransh shoots a 9 to complete his 60 rounds of shots, scoring 81 in the 6th series his lowest in the event, and a total of 517 points.
Nihal with a 9, 10, and an 8 in his 56th to 58th shots, and ends with an 8 and a 9.
A total of 522 points is what Nihal could get.

Series 6 ( Shots 51st to 55th): Both the Indians are virtually out of the Competition
Rudransh stays out of the contention, hits 7 to start the last series, adds 8 to his score again, hits 2 back-to-back 9s, ends with another 8.
Nihal began with a 9 and a 10, comes up with two back-to-back 9s, to end up with a perfect 10.

Series 5 ( Shots 46th to 50th): Nihal hits hattricks of 10s and then shoots a ONE
Rudransh hits an 8, backs that with a 10, and faulters with a 7 again, after a long hiatus Rudransh hits a 9.
Nihal began with 3 10s on a trot, followed it up by a 7 and falls down to 17th position from 15th.
A ONE from Nihal, the worst shot of the day, falls down to 21st position.

Series 5 ( Shots 41st to 45th): Nihal goes past Rudransh, At 18th position
Rudransh gets a 9, hits an 8 then, moves back to a 9-pointer, upgrades the 9 to a 10, and ends with an 8.
Nihal begins with a 9, and a 10, hits a 9 on his 43rd shot, gets back to 10 again on his 44th shot, and hits a 10 again.
Nihal is currently at 18th position, while Rudransh has slipped down to 19th position.

Series 4 ( Shots 36th to 40th): Rudransh hits a SIX again
Rudransh shoots a 10 and comes back to the 8s, hits a six again, slipped to the 18th position.
Not helping for Rudransh, who hits a 7, and ends with a 10, with no change in the position.
Nihal shoots back-to-back 9s and hits 9 again to complete a hattrick of 9s.
Guess what, its a 9 again by Nihal, ends the round with an 8, at 21st position after 4th series.

Series 4 ( Shots 31st to 35th): An unfortunate SIX by Rudransh
Rudransh starts with a 10, 9, and an 8, now it's Rudransh who hits a six and falls down to the 13th position with the unfortunate shot.
Rudransh ends with a 9, which gets him to the 12th position.
Nihal again begins with a 10 in the first shot of the series and progresses with a 9.
Just when things were going right for Nihal, he surrendered with a 5 and ended with a 9 and an 8, falling down to the 23rd position.

Series 3 ( Shots 26th to 30th): A series of 87 by Rudransh, stays in top 8
Rudransh Khandelwal hit a 9 and an 8, and continued with a 9, touches the inner cordon gets a 10 to finally end the series with another 8.
Nihal Singh again begins with a 10, hits a 9 to continue his battle, and hits a 10 further.
Faulters by hitting an 8, ends the series with a 10, Nihal gets his best series of the qualification till now.
A score of 91 in the 3rd series, takes him to the 19th position.
