Paralympics 2024 Para-Athletics: Preethi Pal wins a bronze medal, Manu finishes 6th in Men's Shot Put F37- Highlights
The Indians saw action in the track and field events at Paris on Friday.

Day 2 of the Paris Paralympics continued on Friday and the Indian athletes saw action in track and field events on Friday.
Starting at 1:30 pm, Sakshi Kasana and Karamjyoti stepped up to the plate in the Women’s discus throw F55 event.
Thereafter, at 4:45 pm, Preethi Pal took the track in the Women’s 100m T35 event. And finally, late on Friday night, Manu featured in the Men’s shot put F37 event.

She has now jumped up to the second position ahead of India's Karamjyoti, who now slips to third.

Karamjyoti finished with the final throw of 20.22m, which is her best mark of the event
India's Karamajyoti finished her competition with the best throw of 20.22m on her final attempt. This mark is lower than her personal best of 21.55m.
She is right now sitting in the second position. But with more than half of the competition remaining, it's a tough task for her to medal.
