The all-Indian duo of Parikshit Somani and Manish Sureshkumar came back from a set down to beat the pair of Karan Singh and Woobin Shin (Korea) 4-6, 6-1, 10-8. The Indian challenge in the men’s singles of the ITF Mandya Open ended when Karan Singh and Siddharth Vishwakarma bowed out in semifinals. While Karan Singh lost to Jelle Sels of The Netherlands 1-6, 4-6, Siddharth went down fighting against third seed Orel Kimhi of Israel 6-2, 5-7, 4-6 at the PET Stadium, Mandya on Saturday.

AFC Asian Cup: India suffers a 0-2 loss against Australia
India crashed to a narrow 0-2 defeat against Australia in their opening Group B match of the AFC Asian Cup 2023. Igor Stimac's side had to defend deep in the first-half but in the second-half, Jackson Irvine opened the scoring in the 50th-minute and then Jordan Bos made it 2-0 in the 73rd-minute.

India secured their 5th double podium when Sift Kaur Samra and Ashi Chouksey secured Silver (460.6) and Bronze (447) medals respectively from the 50m rifle 3P women's event at the Asian Shooting Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia. Anjum Moudgil just missed out on the medal with a minimal difference of 0.1 against Ashi and ended in fourth position with 436.3.
