    World Rapid: Koneru Humpy clinches a Silver medal, Vidit finishes fourth

    Indian veteran Chess player Koneru Humpy takes a Silver medal at the Women World Rapid Championship. She finishes at the tied top position after 11 rounds with 8.5 points.

    She played a tie-breaker against Anastasia Bodnaruk for the title but lost 1.5-2.5 to earn the precious Silver medal from the event. This is her third medal from these championships after a Gold in 2019 and a bronze in 2012.

    In men's rapid, Vidit Gujrathi finished with the fourth position after winning 9 points in 13 rounds and just missed out on a medal.

    Australia won the first ODI match with 6 wickets after comfortably chasing a total of 283 runs. Three Australian players have scored half century in the match and helps them taking a 1-0 lead in the series..

    India Vs Australia ODI: Australia 147-1 in 25 overs, need 136 runs to win

    Australia looking comfortable to win this first ODI match against India. They are just 136 runs away from the win with nine wickets in hand.

    Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry puts up a solid 147 run partnership after losing their captain at the duck. Both players have completed their fifties.

    India need few quick wickets to have any chance of comeback in the game.

    World Rapid: Humpy plays a draw in R-9, Arjun & Vidit wins their match in R-10

    Koneru Humpy plays out a draw in the round-9 match at the top table against Anastasia Bodnaruk of Russia. She still holding on to the tied-second position in the table.

    In men's Rapid, both Vidit Gujrathi and Arjun Erigiasi tkes win in round-10 matches to continue the pressure on the leader Magnus Carlsen. In next round, both Indians will play each other.

    India Vs Australia ODI: India scores a total of 282-8 after completion of 50 overs

    Jemimah Rodrigues and Pooja Vastrakar makes full use of final 10 overs. They made a quickfire partnership of 68 runs in the nine overs. Pooja Vastrakar gave the final touch needed in the innings to take Indian total surpass 280 after a quick-fire half-century.

    Pooja scores at the strike rate of 134.8 including 7 fours and 2 sixes. Jemimah missed out on a century and caught-out by Tahlia McGrath after playing an important innings of 82 runs. 

    India scored in the final overs which helps them put up a challenging total of on the board, now it's up to bowlers to take home a win.

    India Vs Australia ODI: India 200 runs for 7 wickets after 40 overs

    Jemimah Rodrigues completed her Half-century but lost two more partners in the span of 10 overs. Firstly, Amanjot Kaur departed after giving a straight-catch to Alana King before scoring 20 runs.

    Then, Sneh Rana comes for bat but she got clean-bowled on Megan Schutt's bowling to make India down seven wickets for 182. The last recognised pair is on the crease now with Pooja Vastrakar and Jemimah.

    Pooja scores few quick boundaries to touch the score of 200. With the last 10 overs in hand, these two will want to add as many runs as possible to surpass at least a score of 270 runs.

    India Vs Australia ODI: India 151 runs for 5 wickets after 30 overs

    Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma takes India back in the game with a 39 run partnership but lost Deepti at the crucial moment.

    Deepti departed at the score of 21 runs at the bowling of Alana King. Amanjot Kaur has come in place of her to partner Jemimah.

    She is still holding her crease and playing at a run a bowl 36 runs. She will be aiming to continue this form and takes India surpass 250.

    India Vs Australia ODI: India 96 runs for 4 wickets after 20 overs

    India added 47 runs in the last ten overs and lost two wickets, first one was in the name of captain Harmanpreet Kaur who departs at the score of just 9 runs giving Australia a early advantage.

    Opener Yastika Bhatia and Jemimah Rodrigues tries to built a partnership but that was later broken in the 20th over as Set-better Yastika Bhatia caught-out by Megan schutt on a lofted shot after making 49 runs.

    All-rounder Deepti sharma has come to bat now and will partner Jemimah with hopes of making a comeback in the match for India.

    India lost an early wicket in the name of Shafali Verma, who got Clean-bowled on Darcie Brown bowl after scoring just 1 run.

    Richa Ghosh got the promotion in the batting order and come at no.3 to solidify the situation but could not convert it into a big score and caught out after scoring quick 21 runs.

    Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Wicketkeeper batter Yastika Bhatia are on the crease.
