A pretty well-taken drag-flick of Navneet from the penalty corner found the bottom right corner of the German goal and doubled their lead within a minute.

Navneet showed her experience and took a first touch to create a much more acute angle towards the goal and beat the front rusher to make it an open hit towards the goal.

A brilliant through ball from the midfield found the unmarked Ishika on the top of the German penalty circle, and she showed a composed finish to find the back of the net.

An unfortunate injury withdrawal for India early in the half as Jyoti caught a niggle in her ankle after a slip-fall while marking her player.
