The Indian men's hockey team returns to action after their bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 to take on South Korea in the Asian Champions Trophy.

India vs South Korea Hockey: India Men's Hockey team will return to action for the first time since their historic Olympic bronze-medal winning campaign as the Hero Men's Asian Champions Trophy 2021 gets underway in Dhaka on Tuesday.
In their opening tie, India are up against Korea. The defending Champions will be led by Skipper Manpreet Singh and Vice-Captain Harmanpreet Singh as they look to win the trophy. In the previous edition of this event held in Muscat, Oman, India had jointly lifted the title along with Pakistan as the Final was called off due to incessant rains. The match is scheduled to begin from 3:00 pm IST.

Hardik, who has been one of more impactful players in the Indian side, has an impact too many and goes out with a green card. With minutes to go before half-time Korea lose a payer with a green card. Their attacks have so far failed to bear fruit, they have managed to keep India's lead down to the one goal though.
India get a PC with seconds left in the half. The Korean keeper makes a brave save as the hooter goes.

Korea begin to get into the game more in the second quarter. They are getting a few entries into the circle. Germanpreet Singh makes a crucial interception. Now Lalit and Akashdeep combine magnificently to get through the Korean midfield once more. A very open game in Q2.

The Indian midfield is outnumbering its Korean counterpart at the moment as the Indians dominate possession. Mandeep and Lalit combine on the right to create more danger for Korea.
