Asian Champions Trophy: India steamroll Bangladesh to bounce back - Live Scores, Updates
India beat Bangladesh 9-0 to get their first win of the tournament.

The Indian men's hockey team got a 9-0 victory over Bangladesh on Wednesday to bounce back in their second match at the Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka on December 15. Dilpreet Singh grabbed a hat-trick and six other goals were scored as India secured a big win to inch ahead on the points table ahead of their clash against Pakistan.
India drew with South Korea 2-2 in their first match despite taking a two-goal lead. Skipper Manpreet Singh said after the match, "This was the first match of the tournament and we will surely bounce back against Bangladesh." Following this match, India's third match in the 5-team tournament will be against arch-rivals Pakistan on December 17.

Germanpreet Singh and Harmanpreet Singh in the centre of the attack as India get a 6th PC of the quarter. Again, the Bangladesh defence makes a last-second save. Manpreet Singh is sure India have won a Penalty stroke.
Once again, India have to stay content with a PC. Another attack. Dilpreet Singh now scores a field goal! Bangladesh's resistance finally breaks.

Q1: India 0-0 Bangladesh after 7 minutes
Lalit comes up with unselfish play as India earn the first Penalty stroke of the match. Bangladesh go for a video referral. The replays show the ball was not headed for goal, so the decision is changed to another PC. Again, the Indian attack is foiled by the rushing defence.
It's all India at the moment, but Bangladesh are somehow holding out. They have saved 5 PCs in the first half of Q1.
