Highlights as UP Rudras beat Kalinga Lancers 3-1 in the Hockey India League.

HIL Highlights: The UP Rudras walked away with three points and an outright 3-1 win in their Hockey India League campaign opener against the Kalinga Lancers on Monday.
After having struggled for a majority of the first half, the Rudras regrouped and bounced back to register a come-from-behind win, with Kane Russell scoring a brace.

49' - UP RUDRAS SCOREEE!
The Kalinga Lancers are falling apart now at the Birsa Munda Stadium. The defence is absolutely clueless as to what's transpiring out there. Lars Balk with a drive inside the circle and the Lancers defenders are just ball watching, hoping for Krishan Bahadur Phatak to let the ball through.
But Sudeep Chirmako intervenes. He dives for the ball and gets a deflection. The ball has gone into the net out of nowhere. UP RUDRAS HAVE THE LEAD!

An early penalty corner in the final quarter for the UP Rudras, and Krishan Bahadur Phatak saves. He was forced to dive full length to his left to keep that out. Brilliant from Phatak to keep the Lancers in it.

END OF THIRD QUARTER!
That's the end of the third quarter. UP Rudras, after looking down and out in the first half, have come back strongly in the third quarter. They have had more ball possession, control and have dominated the proceedings.
The Kalinga Lancers defence held tight for the longest of times before handing a PC in the dying moments of the quarter. It proved costly as the Rudras are now level.

James Mazarelo once again with a brilliant save. The Lancers penetrate from the right and the ball finds Boby Singh Dhami in front of the goal. Dhami turns around and strikes a reverse hit, and Mazarelo had to dive full stretch to his right to keep that out.
