HALF TIME!

That's the end of the first half. The deadlock is yet to be broken, the scorers yet to be troubled. Both teams have had a penalty corner each, but the chances have gone begging.

The goalkeepers haven't really been tested either with a lot of play just stuck in the mid-field. But have to say that the Soorma Hockey Club has looked a more well-oiled outfit.

The Tamil Nadu Dragons haven't done too bad either. Their only cause of concern has been the lack of support inside the circle, whenever there's an attacking opportunity. Both Karthi Selvam and Tom Craig will attest to that.

29' - Good stuff from Tom Craig

Tom Craig just barges through a couple of defenders, dribbling the ball through as he enters the circle. But loses the control towards the end. He just did not have the required support from his Tamil Nadu Dragons teammates.

25' - The intensity has dropped a bit

The intensity on field has dropped a bit in the last couple of minutes. Soorma Hockey Club happy to sit back and play the ball among themselves. Tamil Nadu Dragons happy to let them do so.

19' - PC MISSED, DRAGONS!

The Tamil Nadu Dragons also fail to take advantage of their penalty corner. Jip Jansen's dragflick does not have the required power to trouble the Soorma defence.

19' - Good block from Amit Rohidas

The Soormas get a freehit right outside the circle, but Amit Rohidas blocks the drive into the circle. The Tamil Nadu Dragons go on a counter attack off that and Thomas Sorsby has earned them a penalty corner.

END OF FIRST QUARTER!

That also brings an end to the first quarter. A sedate 15 minutes of play, with the only real chance being by Gurjant Singh, who took a good shot only for David Harte to save. 

There was a PC right at the end for the Soormas, but it was just simply poor execution there. The Tamil Nadu Dragons have had a good couple of runs as well, but the Soorma defence has been clinical.

15' - PC MISSED, SOORMA!

Victor Wegnez with a good run and he pushes the ball to a defender's feet right at the edge of the circle. That is a penalty corner for Soorma Hockey Club – the first of the night.

The PC injection is not the best and Nicolas Della Torre's drag flick is way wide of the post. Doesn't even trouble Harte that. 

12' - Good save from David Harte

The first real threat of the match and it comes from the Soorma Hockey Club. The Tamil Nadu Dragons goalkeeper David Harte is really tested after a defensive lapse, but he manages to block the shot off. 

That could have gone in for the Soormas.

11' - Karthi Selvam with a shot

Karthi Selvam with a shot from the right flank, but there's no deflection. The shot hits the side netting.
