HIL Highlights: The Tamil Nadu Dragons took down Rarh Bengal Tigers 2-1 in a top of the table clash at the 2024-25 Hockey India League on Friday.

Karthi Selvam and Uttam Singh scored as the Dragons move to the top of the points table, while Rupinderpal Singh scored the only goal for the Tigers.

    Anand Lakra with a good run from the right for Tamil Nadu Dragons and Jamie Carr comes up with a good save. Rupinderpal Singh pounces on the rebound to ensure that the Dragons don't have another shot.

    HALF TIME!

    The Tamil Nadu Dragons will heave a sigh of relief. They were under constant pressure in the second quarter, but have held on to their one-goal advantage, thanks to some stunning saves from David Harte and stout defence from Amit Rohidas.

    Karthi Selvam scored early on in the second quarter for the Dragons, but it has all been about the Rarh Bengal Tigers since then. It won't be too late until the Tigers equalise, if they continue this level of relentless attacks.

    28' - Harte protecting Dragons' lead

    David Harte is protecting the Tamil Nadu Dragons' lead with his life at the moment. Constant pressure from the Rarh Bengal Tigers and the Dragons are feeling the heat.

    24' - Another good save from Harte

    The Rarh Bengal Tigers are on the charge and it requires a double save from David Harte to keep the Tamil Nadu Dragons in the lead.

    The Tigers feel it should have been a penalty corner for them with Harte's desperate clear with the stick while still on the ground and they ask for a review. The third umpire says "no advice possible" and the on field call stays. Tigers keep their review as well.

    23' - SAVE, HARTE!

    The Rarh Bengal Tigers earn a penalty corner and David Harte saves a really powerful drag flick to help the Dragons keep the lead. 

    Meanwhile, the Dragons have picked up another green card and are now down to nine men.

    17' - Brilliant interception from Jugraj!

    The Dragons with yet another threatening run into the circle. Uttam from the right side this time and there's a massive chaos inside the circle just in front of the goal as Jamie Carr steps out of his position to cut the angle down on Uttam.

    Uttam has managed to pass the ball in and the two Dragons forward present there try to poach. However, Jugraj Singh intercepts and clears it off.

    That could well have been the lead doubled for the Dragons, if not for Jugraj.
