FIH Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers Highlights: Hosts India made their way into the final of the 2026 FIH Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad with a 1-0 win over Italy on Friday.
Manisha Chauhan scored the lone goal of the match via a drag flick in the 40th minute. The win also officially confirmed India's spot at the 2026 FIH Women's World Cup.
India will now face England in the final on Saturday, while Italy will go up against Scotland in the third-place play-off.

It should have come a while ago, but it finally has come now. India have broken the deadlock.

Navneet Kaur with a moment of magic. Penetrates the circle from the right, while dodging past at least four defenders.
She still has more Italians in front and hence crosses the ball in front of the goal. Unfortunately, it was out of reach for Ishika. That could very well have been the opening goal!

Italy with a good move from the right. They have opened up the Indian defence with a couple of good passes to penetrate the circle.

HALF TIME!
India have grown in confidence after a subdued first quarter, but the deadlock remains.
Italy looked more dominating in the first 15 minutes, but whatever Sjoerd Marijne told the Indians in the quarter break seems to have turned around.
India came out with more intent and willingness to attack. They only have themselves to blame for missing two PCs. The Italian defence also held well for a majority of the second quarter before conceding those soft PCs.
A lot to play for on other side of this break.
