On the European leg of the FIH Pro League 2024-25, it has been a case of so near yet so far for the Indian teams. And this holds good for the Indian women's team as well.
Going into this fixture against Argentina, the Indian women had no points to show for their efforts. A 2-3 loss in their opening fixture was followed by a 1-2 set back, both coming against Australia.
And on Tuesday night, India went down 1-4 to Argentina.

Harendra Singh, the coach of the Indian squad is confident despite the two recent losses.
"I feel sad for my girls, they put up everything against the Aussies. We know Argentina's strengths and weakness. If we play like we did against Australia, we will get the 3-points," he said to the broadcasters ahead of the game.
