FIH Pro League: India men lose to Spain – Highlights
Highlights from the Indian men's team's clash against Spain in the FIH Pro League.

FIH Pro League: The Indian men's hockey team did not have the best of starts to their home leg in the FIH Pro League, going down 1-3 to Spain at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
Sukhjeet Singh scored the first and India's lone goal in the match while Broja Lacalle, Ignacio Cobos, and Bruno Avila found the net for Spain in the contest.

35' - SAVE, PHATAK!
A penalty corner for Spain and they hit the first rusher Amit Rohidas with their first two attempts. They manage to breach through the Indian defence in the third try but Krishan Bahadur Phatak does well to keep the ball from sneaking in.
It wasn't the cleanest of saves but Jarmanpreet Singh at the post comes to the goalkeeper's rescue to clear the ball away.

An error inside the circle from the Indian defence and they have gifted away a penalty corner to Spain.
Bruno Avila steps up to take the drag flick from the second battery and his shot is way wide of the target to trouble Krishan Bahadur Phatak.

HALF-TIME!
End of an exciting 30 minutes of play. The first quarter was rather sedate, but Spain upped the ante in the second. They were eager to get things moving and had multiple circle penetrations but were denied by the brilliance of Suraj Karkera at the goal on a couple of occasions.
However, it was India, who looked subdued at the start, who opened the scoring in the second quarter, thanks to a brilliant shot from Sukhjeet Singh. They suddenly seemed to have grown in confidence after the goal and had two more chances but Sukhjeet and Abhishek couldn't find the net.
Spain scored on a counter attack soon after to equalise and ensure that the teams head into the half-time break on level terms.

A penalty corner for India and this time Harmanpreet Singh's drag flick is blocked well by Spain goalkeeper Luis Calzado.

It hasn't taken the visitors to draw level. A good run in from the left and a couple of passes inside the circle has left the Indian defence cracked open.
The ball finds Borja Lacalle at the far post, who just taps the ball in. Easy peasy.

A penalty corner for India and it is Harmanpreet Singh in the first battery this time. The injection from Jarmanpreet Singh is good but the Indian captain's puts his drag flick wide, much to the dismay of the crowd.

24' - INDIA SCOREEEE!
Jarmanpreet Singh with a good run and circle penetration from the right baseline. He pulls the ball back in and Sukhjeet fails to trap it cleanly, at first.
He, however, recovers well and takes the shot on the reverse. It goes past the Spanish goalkeeper in a jiffy. Sukhjeet has put India ahead against the run of play.

22' - Good interception from Abhishek
A good interception right outside the circle from Abhishek and he goes around the defence on the left and reverse sticks the ball into the circle. It was a brilliant pass as well but the forward fails to get there on time to guide it in.
That was an extremely good move from Abhishek.
