    Thank you for joining in!

That's all we have from the Indian men's hockey team's clash against Spain in the FIH Pro League at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Sukhjeet Singh opened the scoring in the second quarter with a brilliant shot into the net, but Spain equalised just minutes later via Borja Lacalle. The hosts struggled throughout the match and even Sukhjeet's goal was against the run of play.

Spain increased the intensity in the third quarter and India had no answers despite the visitors being disallowed a goal. Ignacio Cobos scored from a penalty corner in the third quarter to hand Spain the lead before Bruno Avila found his maiden international goal late in the fourth quarter to wrap up a clinical victory.

Thank you for joining into our coverage. See you tomorrow!

There's the inevitable. India looked far from their best and they have surrendered their first match of the home leg to a valiant Spain.

58' - India take off their goalkeeper

India have pulled out Suraj Karkera as they search for a desperate goal. They are now playing with an extra outfield player.

    56' - SPAIN SCOREEE!

A rookie error from Harmanpreet Singh as he tries to get an aerial pass from Spain under control and ends up conceding a penalty corner. The Indians argue the call but the umpire stays firm. They don't ask for review though.

Bruno Avila is present in the first battery for the penalty corner and he slots the ball in with a powerful drag flick. Maiden international goal for the Avila as he beats Suraj Karkera.

54' - Time running out for India

Spain in complete control apart from some counter attacks, which haven't bore any fruit, from India. The clock is ticking down for the hosts and they need to find a goal sooner than later.

    47' - India miss PC

Some brilliant individual skills on the baseline from Abhishek and he earns a penalty corner for India, thanks to a Spanish back stick.

The hosts try a variation in the penalty corner routine as Harmanpreet pulls the ball back to Rajinder, however they fail to make a dent. Instead, Spain create a counter attack off it and it requires a save from Suraj Karkera to stop them in their tracks.

    END OF THIRD QUARTER!

Spain were clearly the better side and they have taken the lead for the first time in the match. It was a drama filled third quarter with Spain having a goal disallowed.

However, India conceded multiple penalty corners and they eventually paid a price from an almost botched PC by Spain. India have looked subdued throughout and they need to get their act together soon.

    38' - SPAIN SCOREEEE!

Another penalty corner for Spain and Jarmanpreet Singh intercepts the drag flick and clears it away. There's question on where it was a back stick from the Indian but the replays prove otherwise.

A bit of discussion on how the play should restart and Spain are re-awarded the penalty corner. The first attempt after the re-take hits an Indian defender and they are handed another.

A poor trap from Borja Lacalle in the second attempt as he lets the ball through. He, however, rushes back to take the ball in control and keeps the play on. One more pass inside the circle before the ball finds Ignacio Cobos, who makes no mistake in putting it in! SPAIN HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD!

    37' - GOAL DISALLOWED, SPAIN!

A good run around the defence from Xavier Gispert and he launches the ball into the circle. The forward present in front of the goal slots it in and Spain are off celebrating.

The Indians, however, ask for a review straightaway. In fact, its an umpire's review.

Replays show that the ball hit the feet of the forward before going in. The goal has been overturned and there's loud cheers at the Kalinga Stadium.

    37' - Sumit goes off

Some signs of worry for India as Sumit seems to have pulled his hamstring. He walks off the field for now. India would hope it is nothing too serious.
