Welcome to The Bridge's LIVE blog for Artistic Gymnastics on Day 6 of the Tokyo Olympics.
The battle is on between the top women as the gold is up for grabs with Simone Biles withdrawing from the AA Finals at the Tokyo Olympics

Jess Gadirova beam - completely off on her flight series :( Ugh gutted for her. Recovers well though. dismount - double pike - very nice. Not her best day but wow, these twins have a VERY bright future. So talented and only 16 years old

Suni Lee bars - another huge routine for her. She has unbelievable difficulty on this event. SHE HITS!! Makes all the insane connections and she looks happy with that. This was make or break routine. 15.3!! HUGE score

Melnikova Bars - a little rushed in the beginning but recovers well. Almost identical routine to Uravoza. Almost sticks the landing - great for her. 14.9! That will put her second behind Andrade

Urazova up next on bars - her legs are always STUCK together. She floats on this event, beautiful to watch. Sticks the landing - the fight is SO ON!

The Gadirova twins are almost impossible to tell apart! Ah love them both!
Kovacs beam - starts well, hits the acro series. And she's off on her leap series. Wow. A rough beam rotation for this group overall.

Nina Derwael bars - very big routine for her. Does a bunch of release moves. Hits everything. Makes all the connections, and a good dismount, WOW. Hit routine for her

Jade Carey bars now. Not her strongest event but must get through it cleanly. Doesn't connect her flight series. But holds on well. After 2 falls in warm ups - she recovers well!
They just showed Simone in the crowd. Such a class act coming out to support her teammates!

Tang Xijing on beam - good mount and lovely acro series into a jump connection. OH NOOO, off her switch ring leap. Looks like she just missed on foot on the landing. Recovers really well, making connections. Beautiful dismount
