A freekick for Diamond Harbour and its a quick ground pass before being launched into the box. There are two headers hit inside the box with Kortazar's final touch hitting the side netting.

A brilliant run on the left flank and the Diamond Harbour defence has no answers. Ajaraie crosses the ball in and it finds an unmarked Chema Nunez.

Mirshad comes down to cut the angle on Nunez, who instead of taking the shot instantly decides to take his time. He has two of his teammates open by this time but still takes a shot himself with his weaker foot after dodging the goalkeeper.

The shot is way off target. A golden opportunity to double their lead missed by NorthEast United.

Another shot from an angle from NorthEast United, who are slowly growing in confidence now. Mirshad, this time, dives full length to his left to block the curler from crashing into the net.

Diamond Harbour are losing the plot pretty rapidly at the Saltlake Stadium.

NorthEast United have drawn first blood in the 2025 Durand Cup Final. The Diamond Harbour defence split open and they have themselves to blame do the debutants.

It was a corner for NorthEast United, not the best delivery but they keep possession, going wide inside the box after Diamond Harbour defenders' fail to clear the ball.

The first shot is low and hit straight to goalkeeper, who much like earlier in the match fails to collect cleanly. The rebound falls to Asheer, who wastes no time to slot the ball in.
