The match between Chennaiyin FC and Army Red certainly has to be one of the most entertaining matches of the Durand Cup 2022. While the first half was a goalless bore, all the excitement ensued in the second 45 minutes.
It was the Army side which took the lead thanks to Lethaolen Khongsai. However, his goal was cancelled out by Chennai's Julius Duker just before the 90th minute. Then, Edwin Vanspaul scored Chennaiyin's second of the game to hand them lead.
But, their joy was shortlived after Army's Liton Shil got one back to end the match in a thrilling stalemate. Interestingly, all the four goals came from corners!
