The Indian Super League (ISL) Season VI action resumes on Wednesday evening as Hyderabad FC and NorthEast United FC lock horns at the Ganti Mohana Chandra Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Bridge caught up with Talstay Bhattacharya, a member of the Highlanders, to discuss NorthEast's start to the season, Asamoah Gyan's impact and more. Following are excerpts:

Q> Still unbeaten in the league, how are fans feeling about the start to the season?

We are really optimistic. The way the team has started the season after the departure of key players from last season is really good. Missing Federico Gallego and Rowllin Borges was a big blow, but the way the team has performed is really exceptional. We hope that Gallego returns soon and then this team will be perfect.

Q> Has Asamoah Gyan lived up to the fans' expectations?

Gyan is a big name in the league. We are proud to have a player of his calibre in our club. He has scored two goals in his last three games. What more do you expect from a striker? Yeah, he is not at his best yet. But if he can perform like this we don't actually need anything else from him. We're happy and hopefully, he will score even more in the coming games.

Q> How good has been Redeem Tlang so far?

Redeem always had talent. He just needed game time and a bit of confidence to go for the goal. We are really happy for him. To see a regional talent prosper like that right in front of your eyes is really a proud moment for us. We hope that he keeps this momentum going and we see him in national jersey pretty soon.

Q> Coming to the opposition, Hyderabad recovered from a poor start and will be keen to keep the momentum going. what kind of challenge can NorthEast expect?

Hyderabad will be tricky oppositions. We know that we're somewhat favourite against them with all those injuries for the league debutants. However, it'll not be that easy to score as they still have quality players. They will most probably play on the counter but we should be able to deal with them. To be honest, we're pretty confident about three points.

Q> Hyderbad FC's danger men and predicted scoreline

Marcelinho for sure is dangerous, especially on the ball. He has tremendous abilities and we must mark him well. But NEUFC should win 2-0.
