Commentators are one of the most important aspects of watching any sport. They not only make whichever sport you are watching interesting through their words, but also provide some brilliant insights regarding the game which in turn helps you to understand the game better.

Just like in all the traditional sports, e-sports too have their own professional commentators. They are called ‘Casters’. Here, we look at some of India’s top e-sports casters:

Ocean Sharma

One of the most popular casters in India, Ocean is known for his expertise in the now banned game in India, PUBG. Someone who can seamlessly switch between the different games and explain the tiniest of details of all the games he casts, Ocean was once a math and science tutor. With a vast understanding of e-sports and the Indian gaming sector, Ocean surely has established himself as one of the best casters in Indian circuit in a very short span of time.

Ketan ‘K18’ Patel

Just 23 years of age, Ketan Patel is a professional PUBG caster. A self-professed cricket fan, Ketan has been born and brought up in Delhi. He was a gaming enthusiast right from his childhood, but it was Clash of Clans which made him realise his love for gaming. He soon started a YouTube channel and switched completely to PUBG when the mobile game was released in India in 2018.

Sudhen ‘Bleh’ Wahengbam

One of India’s earliest e-sports casters, Sudhen is Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) specialist. Sudhen tryst with Counter Strike started back in 2002-2003 and was introduced to the concept of e-sports when he started college around the years 2004-2005. He started actively participating in tournaments when CS:GO entered the Indian market in 2012 and soon started casting as there were not many people covering these games. There has been no looking back since for Sudhen who is now globally recognised as ‘The Asian CS:GO Expert’.

Nikhil ‘Sieh’ Bhansali

Nikhil Bhansali is one of India’s top casters and analysts of the game Valorant. Currently, an analyst for Team Mahi in their Valorant rooster, Nikhil is a math nerd. His interest in e-sports started when he was introduced to League of Legends while in college. Over the years, Nikhil has casted in games like League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra and Valorant.
