One of the leading e-sports team from Europe – Team Vitality has officially announced the launch of their Indian operations today. This comes on the back of Team Vitality’s push for expansion and development of e-sports in the Indian subcontinent.

In the announcement made through a press release, Team Vitality asserted that their main focus is on building a local presence and a community in order to establish a deeper connection with fans in the country. The organisation had given hints of their Indian operations by launching an Indian social media page last month.

They are expected to start their operations from the city of Mumbai and have partnered with famous YouTubers like Nischay Malhan (Live Insaan), Rachit Yadav (Rachitroo), Nitin Chougale (Classified YT) and Saloni Kandalgaonkar (Mili kya Mili) – all of whom have a combined following of 10 million . These content creators are expected to create various engaging content on their social media platforms as well as on Team Vitality’s Instagram and Facebook page.

According to the press release, Team Vitality is working towards building a purely competitive branch in 2021 with an eye on becoming the best e-sports team in the region. More details about the competitive expansion is expected to be revealed soon.

“Team Vitality constantly strives to build winning teams on the international stage. Our entry into India is a big milestone for us and part of our endeavour to conquer the world of esports. Our mission here is to not just build professional teams but to also make ourselves the most aspirational esports brand in the country. We’re very keen to engage with our fans in India via our content creators before competing in the biggest local tournaments with our incoming professional teams,” said Nicolas Maurer, the CEO of Team Vitality.

Headquartered in Paris, Team Vitality is a prominent e-sports organisation with eight teams in a total of nine games, with more than 50 athletes from 13 different countries. Moreover, Team Vitality’s Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) team recently reached the number 1 position in the HLTV World Rankings.
