Motera to host Women's Senior One-Dayer Challengers Trophy
Earlier there were speculations that the stadium could host the Women's T-20 Challenge( Women's IPL), but the rumors were quashed when Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh stadium was announced as the host for the Women's IPL matches.
World's largest cricket stadium, the Motera in Ahemdabad will host Women’s Senior One-Dayer Challengers Trophy from 26 March.
“Before an international fixture, this will help us get things in order,” one of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials according to a report by Sportstar.
Earlier there were speculations that the stadium could host the Women's T-20 Challenge( Women's IPL), but the rumors were quashed when Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh stadium was announced as the host for the Women's IPL matches.
This will be the first tournament after the renovation of the tournament.
The tournament will go on for four days featuring top women cricketers in the three competing teams – India Red, India Blue, and India Green.
The iconic stadium which has seen various international and domestic fixtures was under renovation for the last few years. Post its renovation, the stadium was inaugurated by US President Donald Trump when he had visited India in February.
The fixtures:
March 26: India Red vs India Blue
March 27: India Green vs India Red
March 28: India Blue vs India Green
March 30: Final
