India heads into Day 4 of the Commonwealth Games 2026 looking to build on Jhandu Kumar's bronze medal, with several medal hopefuls in action across weightlifting, boxing, bowls, gymnastics and swimming.

The spotlight will be on Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu, who begins her campaign in the women's 48kg weightlifting event. Rishikanta Singh and Raja Muthupandi will also look to challenge for medals in their respective weight categories.

Elsewhere, Preeti Pawar, Jadumani Singh and Aditya Pratap Yadav continue India's boxing campaign, while Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh have two bowls matches scheduled. Putul Sonowal, Tapan Mohanty, Yogeshwar Singh and the Indian men's swimming relay team will also be in action.

    The Indian pair of Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh will take on Namibia's pair of Amanda Steenkamp and Diana Viljoen at 1:00 .P.M. IST

    India remain unbeaten in the tournament so far, having won all three of their matches. Yesterday, they secured their third win against Tonga in a thrilling tie-breaker.The Indian pair will now look to continue their winning streak and strengthen their chances of finishing at the top of the Section B table.

    Recap: Siwach advances; Rupa-Pinki stay unbeaten on Day 3!

    India enjoyed a mixed outing on Day 3 of the Commonwealth Games 2026.

    Sachin Siwach progressed to the men's 55kg Round of 16 after defeating Canada's Keoma Al Ahmadieh, while Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh maintained their unbeaten run in the women's pairs lawn bowls competition with a hard-fought win over Tonga.

    Elsewhere, Aryan Nehra and Dhakshan Shashikumar bowed out in the men's 400m freestyle heats, while Putul Sonowal suffered his first defeat of the Games in the men's singles bowls competition.

    India's women's artistic gymnastics team also missed out on a medal after finishing fifth in their subdivision of the team final, and the women's 3x3 wheelchair basketball team lost 1-16 to Wales in its Commonwealth Games debut.
