A very important afternoon for Indian sports. The 2012 London Olympics bronze medallist, Mary Kom, will take on 2016 Rio de Janeiro bronze medallist Valencia Victoria Ingrit Lorena of Columbia in the pre-quarterfinals of the women's flyweight category.
There is a lot riding on this bout for the 38-year-old Mary Kom, who might be playing the last Olympics of her career. The Manipuri pugilist has won everything there is in the sport, and the only thing which has eluded her is an Olympic gold. Can she survive this bout against the Columbian and stay on course for the yellow metal?
