Come September 24, India will be the home for the continent's largest aquatic meet as it hosts the 10th AASF Asian Age Group Championship 2019. The city of Bangalore for the very first time will host the prestigious championship. The last time India hosted the event was in 1999; thus this championship coming back will spur popularity of the sport amongst aspiring swimmers getting to watch their icons live in action.

The nine-day sporting extravaganza, with see 1200 participants from 40 different countries competing for top honours in four different aquatic disciplines such as swimming, diving, water polo and the visual-mesmerizing artistic swimming.

Venues

The event venues will be spread across the city. Sharing below the schedule for your reference:

Swimming events: Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence from 24th to 27th Sep

Water Polo: Sports Authority of India, Kengeri from 24th to 30th Sep

Diving: Sports Authority of India, Kengeri from 29th Sep to 2nd Oct

Artistic Swimming: Kensington Swimming Pool, Ulsoor from 29th Sep to 2nd Oct

This is the largest Aquatic Championships in Asia as it’s not only for open category (18 years and above) like the Asian Games and Asian Championships but will also include participants from Age Groups I (15-17 years) and II (14 years and above).

Speedo athletes, Virdhawal Khade, Sajan Prakash, Maana Patel and Shivani Kataria will be a part of this event.
