Srikanth stranded by coach
Some troubling news for Srikanth coming in with minutes left before his semi. Agus Dwi Santoso has quit from his role as Indian men's singles coach, according to ESPN. Srikanth had to fall back on fellow Indian players to fill his coach's corner through the Hylo Open in Germany two weeks ago. At this week's Indonesia Masters he had PV Sindhu's coach Park Tae Sang assisting him.

Momota running away with 1st semifinal
Kento Momota is meanwhile playing some vintage badminton in the first semi. The first game was a close one, but the Japanese is running away with the match in the second game. Leading 21-19, 11-4 at the moment.
The winner of Srikanth vs Antonsen will be up against Momota then it would seem.

Srikanth vs Antonsen: Head to Head

Srikanth vs Antonsen: What to expect
In the quarterfinal, Srikanth was at his vintage best against HS Prannoy. Prannoy, who claimed an upset win over Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Victor Axelsen earlier, made a strong recovery in the second game but eventually lost out. He will meet Denmark's Anders Antonsen, who is seeded third, in the semifinals. Srikanth will be the clear underdog at the outset but he is known to ramp up his game on big days.

Sindhu keeps coming close yet staying so far - spot of worry for her
PV Sindhu fails to breach into the Finals for the second straight tournament in a row, third in fact, if we are to consider her Tokyo outing as well where she lost to Tai Tzu-ying in the semi-finals too.
Come back stronger, Sindhu, atta girl!

And Akane Yamaguchi delivers a masterclass here in 32 minutes to WIN!
And that is a curtain call for PV Sindhu at the Indonesia Masters 2021 as Akane Yamaguchi dominates this encounter and wins it, 21-13, 21-9.
Not the best day for Sindhu, at all.
