India's quest for an elusive All England crown will begin anew today as Indian badminton stars will get to the grind to end the 21-year-drought since the last All England win by Pullela Gopichand.
At the end of Day 1, HS Prannoy, MR Arjun/Dhruv Kapila, Krishna Prasad/Vishnuvardhan Goud, Meghana/Poorvisha, Sameer Verma, Sai Praneeth, Parupalli Kashyap, Ashwini/Sikki, Aakarshi Kashyap, Sourabh Verma, Ishaan/Tanisha, Venkat Prasad/Juhi Dewangan have lost.
Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth are the only ones through to the Round of 16 after emphatic wins!

Lakshya Sen, a debutant at the All England Open, will be opening his campaign against fellow Indian Sourabh Verma to book a second-round
date with either World Champion Loh Kean Yew or Denmark's Anders Antonsen!
Lakshya is in rave form and shouldn't have much trouble against Verma who leads their head to head.
