World Athletics Championships 2025: The reigning world champion Neeraj Chopra and Sachin Yadav have qualified for the men's javelin final in Tokyo. Neeraj achieved the direct qualification without wasting any time. He recorded 84.85m in just his first throw.
Sachin, too, qualified with a throw of 83.67m.
In men's 200m sprint, Animesh Kujur finished 9th in Heat 3 and 42nd among 51 athletes. He clocked 20.77s.
In men's Triple Jump, Praveen Chithravel finished 15th with a jump of 16.74 while Abdulla Aboobacker was 24th out of 32 jumpers, with 16.33m.

Neeraj had already qualified by virtue of achieving Automatic Qualification mark 84.50m.

Men's Triple Jump: Praveen 15th, Abdulla 24th
In men's Triple Jump, India's Praveen Chithravel finished 15th with a jump of 16.74 while Abdulla Aboobacker was 24th out of 32 jumpers, with 16.33m.
Only top 12 jumpers qualify for the final. China's Yaming Zhu with 16.83m was the last jumper to make the final.

Sachin Yadav - 83.67m (sixth place).
Top 12 throwers from two groups will qualify for the final scheduled for Thursday at 3:30PM. Will Sachin make the final will depend on how throwers perform in Group B. Till then let's wait and watch.
Group B throwers will be in action in a short while.
