One of the most exciting events of the Paris Olympics, the men's javelin throw event, has started with the qualification round on Tuesday.
India's biggest gold medal hope, Neeraj Chopra hit the ground at the qualification round of the group B of qualification stage at 3:20 PM IST.
Alongside Neeraj, his compatriot and Asian Games medalist Kishore Jena was also in the hunt for a spot in finals on his maiden Olympics outing.
On the other hand, Kiran Pahal competed at the repechage round of women's 400m.

The Qualification Group A is over with 4 automatic qualification
Kishore Jena of India finished in 9th spot in group A with the best throw of 80.73m.
He is not completely out from the qualification for the final. But, it will be very tough for him now with one full group of 16 throwers left.
