Inter-State Athletics C'ships Day-4 Highlights: Annu Rani wins javelin gold, Animesh Kujur sets 200m meet record
Catch all the highlights from the penultimate day of the 2025 National Inter-State Athletics Championships in Chennai.

The top Indian athletes fought for the coveted National titles at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday.
The Indian national record holders, Annu Rani (Women's Javelin Throw) and Animsh Kujur (Men's 100m ), added another National title to their names with another solid performance in the final.
The crowd also had their eyes on some of the other top athletes like Pooja in 800m, Tajinderpal Singh Toor (Shot Put), and home favourite Dhanalakshmi in women's 200m.

Dhanalakshmi tops the women's 200m semifinals with a time of 24.03s
She won heat 2 and has now set her eyes on the second gold medal at the championships after comfortably cruising the 100m lineup with a new Indian lead time of 11.36s.

Ragul Kumar G tops the men's 200m semi-finals with a time of 20.91s
Ragul won heat 3 and was the only player to clock a sub-21s time in the semifinals, topping the charts ahead of experienced Animesh Kujur (21.06s) and Amlan Borgohain (21.15s).

There will be 10 finals on the penultimate day of the competition
The fourth day of the competition has only 10 finals, but there are many top athletes in action, including a few national record holders like Annu Rani, Animesh Kujur, and Tajinderpal Singh Toor.
On the other hand, Pooja and Dhanalakshmi will be hoping to add a second gold to their tally at these Championships in women's 800m and 200m finals, respectively.
