    Boxing, Men's +90kg: Narender loses Round 1

The usual sluggish boxing we usually see in the higher weight categories. Both pugilists rooted to their feet, barely moving around.

A few punches landed by both. Narender has been good on the counter, in particular.

A lot of support for Aibek. The chants of "Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan" hasn't stopped since he stepped onto the ring.

It feels like the pressure of it all is getting to Narender, who was on the backfoot, it felt.

Yup, as expected, Narender's counters not enough. He concedes the first round unanimously 0-5.

Boxing, Men's 80kg: ANKUSH MOVES INTO THE FINAL

Ankush Panghal starts off with aggression. He wants to show the judges that he can take the initiative. A couple of warnings for the Indian, for his head going down.

Erkinboev, the reigning world champion, is enjoying this and wants Ankush to come at him with all he's got.

A few more punches exchanged as the clock winds down. We've just been treated to an excellent boxing bout.

Who gets it? I hope Ankush. But I'm not too sure. The commentator feels Ankush has got this.

    But we'll wait...

And it indeed is Ankush Panghal. He takes down the reigning world champion on a 4-1 split.

India have two boxing finallists. This is already a better performance than Hangzhou 2022 in the sport!

    Boxing, Men's 80kg: Ankush takes Round 2

Oh wow, Ankush has managed to impress the judges with his initiative in the second round. It is a 3-2 split on his favour in the second round.

He could very well win this with Uzbekistan leading only one card and all others at 19-19.

Ankush Panghal did manage to land a few punches towards the end of the first round. But Erkinboev seems to have much of the damage earlier.
